I'm here to help you Breakup with Burnout
I love setting and achieving goals. However, there was a recurring theme that I couldn’t deny. Burnout was a regular companion.
The intensity varied from feeling exhausted, run-down, and not having a lot of joy, to going to the emergency room thinking I was having a heart attack. After an EKG showed I wasn’t having a heart attack, the doctor shared it was a panic attack from stress and extreme dehydration.
Does that story sound familiar? Unfortunately, too many of us have a story around burnout, and it’s literally stealing our joy and impacting our quality of life. No more!
If you find yourself saying any of this about your goals, you're in the right place.
- I should be able to do this!
- I just can't keep up.
- Nothing I do is good enough.
- I don't have anyone to help me.
- Nobody understands what I'm going through.
- I've never done this before so why should I even try?
Here's my story.
I finally got sick and tired of LITERALLY being sick and tired.
I rarely slowed down to be still and check in with myself.
Hi there, I’m your coach, Christal. I could use this space to talk about my degree in Psychology or the training that I have put myself through to be your coach. However, more than anything, I believe you will connect with my story…because it’s partly your story.
I remember my first managerial role in higher education. I was young, hungry, and ready to do big things..until the “managing people” part of the job gave me a run for my money. I tried and DID soooo many things.
I dreaded going to work every day.
I would get their early to have some “peace” before others arrived.
I didn’t raise my hand enough and ask for help. My mental space was noisy and unmanaged.
I stopped by Starbucks on the way to work AND on the way home. And if you are a Starbucks customer, you know that kind of behavior leads to the barista having your drink ready as you walk in the door
During my lunch break, I would sit in my car or drive to a close by park. I had to get out of the building.
This and so much more led me to that emergency room visit with the panic attack.
Over the next 15 years, I would experience various degrees of burnout until a spiritual awakening moment in 2023. That’s when I started experimenting with doing something different. I took the next year to change my relationship with goal achievement, specifically around who I wanted to be.
This is the work I look forward to sharing with you.

I had an amazing experience with Christal. She helped me see that my expectations of my relationship where actually damaging to the real experience I wanted for me. Old familiar habits were uncovered and I have been able to apply the insights immediately for instant results for me (lucky him!). What came next: Acknowledging & accepting the fulfilling relationship I knew I wanted.
this included firing myself from the role of managing my spouse. btw - i was never hired in the first place!
Getting clarity on what I could control and WHY I was bothered was the first step I took in my awareness. Then I looked at how I showed up. I asked myself whether that was authentically me and whether or not I had my own back. I looked at my actions and realized I was neglecting myself in certain areas. Finally, I took a hard look at how I was giving up my peace. Life is already 50/50 so I decided that I wanted the entire peace percentage!
Expectations were the last area I had to evaluate and decide whether I wanted to hang my emotional well-being on another person executing (or not executing) my requests.
Now, my emotional well-being and overall quality of life sit on a firm foundation. Of course, there are times when I slip back into those old ways but now I have the awareness and skillset to pull me out. I think of them like a life preserver.
The true cherry on top is that these insights have improved ALL my relationships, not just the one with my husband.
I know that women can be the ChangeMakers and Influencers of their households and community.
It's my honor to help them show up as their best self. It's a true win-win
Society has taught us that it always takes two to improve a relationship. There are even songs about it!
I want you to know there is an immense amount of power in the action of just one. You don’t have to endlessly wait on the other person to change, even though they benefit from the work you do through coaching.
This work means so much to me because I know from personal experience and my clients’ results that my coaching brings a level of clarity and overall positive improvement in your relationship.
My clients experience getting the best care, tough love, and results in a discreet and proven environment. I’ll believe in you until you can do it for yourself. You got this!
